COURSE OUTLINE

Our temporary CSCS card scheme is for construction workers who need a card to gain access to CSCS regulated sites. We have two different routes for you to take, depending on your experience – those who are new to construction and those who are experienced trade professionals.

Regardless of which route applies to you, our courses are an affordable cost and temporary cards could be with you as soon as 5 days from completion.

 

New to Construction – Level 1 Labourers Card

For those who are new to construction, you can complete our Level 1 Award in Construction Health and Safety course, which is completed in one day. This will gain you a certificate and CSCS Labourers Card, which is valid for 5 years.

The level 1 award in health and safety is a one day course, in which you will fill out a health and safety workbook, which will take 8 hours and on completion will give you the certificate. Then, you will do a health and safety test, which lasts for an hour, that consists of 59 questions and you must get a minimum of 40 correct in order to pass and this gives you the CSCS card. Resits will be given on the day if you fail.

Experienced Trade Professional – Level 2 Temporary Card

For experienced trade professionals, you only need to complete our Level 1 Award in Construction Health and Safety test, which can be completed in less than an hour, to qualify for a temporary card. The Temporary CSCS Card, which is valid for 12 months, giving you this amount of time to complete an NVQ with us, before expiry. Upon completion of the NVQ, you will be certificated and this will then allow you to apply for a full CSCS card.

The health and safety test that consists of 59 questions and you must get a minimum of 40 correct in order to pass. Resits will be given on the day if you fail.

Courses are flexible and take place during weekdays, evening and weekends.
